Beautiful mid-century original oil on canvas by the listed Swedish artist Stig Wernheden( 1921-1997). A vividly coloured modernist style composition depicting a group of Greek fishermen hauling in the catch. Stig Wernheden originally trained as a graphic artist and this is evident through his use of flat colour blocks which create figures not clearly defined by features or form and adds an abstract quality to the painting. Presented in it's original vintage frame and in excellent condition.
