Tulips and Copper Teapot - Mogens Vantore ( 1895-1977)

£2,500.00

This large and spectacular mid-century oil painting of tulips with copper kettle illustrates Vantore's characteristic bravura brushwork, a daring, slap-dash way of painting lending energy to the brushstrokes. Reflections dart across the canvas giving the painting a luminous, magical quality. This is a premium piece and would be an excellent addition to any collection of Vintage Art.

Mogens Erik Christien Vantore was born in Copenhagen in 1895 and studied at the Charlottenberg Art Academy, having been enrolled at the tender age of 14. then moved to Paris (1923–25) where he was influenced by the Post-Impressionists, Gaugin and Nabis. He returned to Denmark, where he continued to exhibit successfully and annually at Copenhagen’s Charlottenborg Museum. His paintings are highly collectable and are found in many museums worldwide .
