Wonderfully charming framed oil on canvas of potted violets and yellow freesias in a sweet. stumpy little clay pot. This painting has a naive quality and the bright colours of the violets and freesias only add to it's childlike charm. I can picture it adding a cheerful touch to a country cottage kitchen or perhaps to brighten a bedroom nook. It measures 41 x 49 cm and is presented in a wood and gilt effect frame with linen insert. Indistinctly signed, it is of Swedish origin and dates from the mid-century.
