A Floral Study- Marion Broom -Dated 1920
Utterly romantic floral study by highly collectable British artist Marion Broom. Big, frothy pink roses billow forth from a silver trug, their beautiful reflections captured in the silverware and set against a soft, muted duck egg blue background. It looks wonderful on a dark, green wall and I can imagine it adding a romantic touch to a pretty bedroom. Oil on canvas, it measures 36 x 46cm and is signed by the artist MARION BROOM (1878-1962) and verso. A few bumps to the frame but in good vintage condition.
Broom was a well known painter of flower studies who exhibited widely, including at the Royal Academy, Royal Institute and at the Society of Woman Artists.
